Hidden Mickey of the Week

Yeti said to have returned in full force

7/4/09 A poster on The DIS Boards is reporting that the Yeti in Expedition Everest is back to operating close to it's original design (also called "A mode"). For months, new riders have walked off the attraction wondering what all the fuss was about. The giant animatronic was there, but hardly moved. What they often did not realize was that there is a secondary mode for the Yeti, and Disney has been operating him in that mode ever since structural issues were uncovered. Apparently the size of the figure, coupled with the fast, sweeping movements that were orignally choreographed, were too much for the support structure to handle.

The source for this news states that Disney has been working after-hours since January to fix the problem, and apparently they have succeeded. Good luck to anyone who will have a chance to brave the Yeti!
